The Kenwood Chef is synonymous with traditional home prepared and baked food. It's versatility has meant that for almost 50 years this has been the number one kitchen companion. The KM001 & KM005 models are very new to the Chef range. They still incorporate all of the features which have made Kenwood chefs so durable but some new features have been added which - if possible- make them even better.The power has been increased even more, this model delivers up to 1,000 watts, and a new gear box has been used which has made the machine a little quieter but has also enabled our designers to fit in a third power outlet which will drive two new attachments (optional), a food processor and a citrus press One of the more recent changes to the chefs is electronic speed control which maintains the speed when more load is added - just like cruise control in modern cars. There are 3 attachments included - The K Beater for cake mixture, Whisk for egg whites and whipping cream, and Dough Hook for kneading up to 5lb's of dough, plus a 1.5litre glass liquidiser. The Chef uses a planetary mixing action which means that all of the mixture is captured in the bowl. The bowl itself is a 4.6 litre capacity is made made from stainless steel for easy cleaning, and another improvement is the addition of two carrying handles.
